The following is an e-mail that was send to Matt Hale supporters, by Matt Hale’s mother, Evelyn:

Friends and Supporters: I received a letter from Matt today! Well, more bad news. The depositions that were to have happened on the 15th and 17th have been delayed. The prison told Matt he would be doing them with handcuffs on and he refused, so they are postponed again. Matt is strong in his determination even though the prison is continuing to add more punishments. Matt asked those that are going to testify at his Civil trial to read the Creativity books and be ready to testify for Matt and Creativity. Here are some names of the people that are going to testify:

Note: The following is a message forwarded from Matt Hale’s mother, Evelyn.

Friends and Supporters:

     I received a letter from Matt today. He is still in the “hole” and is strong and well! Well enough to give me a sermon about  being strong for him and Creativity. Also, he wants all of you to get out there and expand Creativity. Matt said he can’t do it from where he is! He said if you are waiting for him to get out of prison, stop waiting and get out there and make things happen for Creativity.

     Good news from Matt. He said that the B.O.P. has now recognized “Humanism” as a religion and that takes the wing out of their sails in the civil suit against them. Creativity is certainly more of a religion than “Humanism”. Even though he is still in the “hole’, he is scheduled to do his first two depositions November 15th and the 17th.

     He is planning to write 2 more books as a result of this current experience, promises to allow you a sneak peak  of his 3rd book as soon as he finishes the final draft.

      Matt also told me that he has been bent many times but never breaks! I am forever proud of Matt!

Evelyn Hutcheson has just shared a letter that she received from her son, Matt Hale, our foremost political prisoner.

Friends and Supporters: I just received a letter from Matt. He asked me to email you and tell you that he has enough books for the time being. He said to thank all that sent him books and to tell you that he is strong and has adjusted to being once again locked in the “hole”. He is encouraging you to stand tall in your beliefs as he has done all these years. If that doesn’t happen, he said the years he has sacrificed will have been in vain. Ms. H

The following is a message from Matt Hale’s mother, Evelyn:

Friends and Supporters: Finally, I received a letter from Matt today. He said to let you know that he is receiving your letters and that your letters have meant so much to him and have helped him through a really hard time. Please keep sending those letters to him!. He also wanted you to know that he is only allowed one tablet and twenty stamps a week and he has to conserve them for the motion he is working on to file with the court. He said that his reply to your letter will be delayed for this reason. I’m asking you to continue to write to him as I do even though we won’t get quick replies from him. Our letters are so important to him. He said he is receiving books ordered for him and wants to thank all that have ordered books. I want to assure you that they have tried to beat Matt down and once again, have failed in their efforts! Ms. H

Friends and Supporters: Bad and good news! Bad news, Matt is still in solitary confinement because the warden told him that another inmate signed something saying that Matt asked him to send the press release to me by regular mail. Matt asked to confront the guy and was refused. So, as the story goes, Matt was found guilty of that offense without any proof, just the word of a real criminal. Matt believes that the real reason for him being thrown in the “hole” is to postpone the civil suit which he had to delay for 3 more months because he doesn’t know when the warden will let him out. The good news is that Matt won’t allow a tube to be put in his nose and down in his stomach to force feed him. He promised his mother that he will eat!!! That means everything to me. I have faxed The First Freedom newspaper to the warden and the head office of the BOP because my name and address is in an article about Matt in the July issue. Possibly, if indeed, there is an inmate that actually did say Matt asked him to send me the press release through the mail, (which I doubt), that would be where he found my name and address. Ms. H

” Hale Begins Hunger Strike! Won’t Quit Until Illegal
Solitary Confinement is Lifted!”

Reverend Matt Hale, the former leader of the World Church of the Creator has been put in solitary confinement at Terre Haute, Indiana federal prison for sending a press release to his mother. He was accused of having another prisoner send the press release by regular mail but in fact Hale emailed the press release to his mother. The prison has since found that Hale did indeed, email the press release to his mother, the prison did allow it to be sent. So now, the warden Stephen Julian has decided that Hale should stay in solitary confinement for sending a press release regarding David Weisman, the prosecutor in the case against Hale. Hale was convicted in 2004 on phony charges of having solicited the murder of Chicago federal judge Joan Lefkow even though there is no evidence that any solicitation occurred.

In a letter to his mother, Hale has said he will remain on his hunger strike until his release from the solitary confinement punishment given to him for something the prison has discovered he didn’t do.

Important update from Matt Hale’s mother

The following is a message forwarded from Matt Hale’s mother Evelyn Hutcheson

Friends and Supporters: We are not going to send any letters to the people at the prison! That being said, I am enraged! I received a letter from Matt today. The prison accused Matt of having another prisoner send me the press release about Weisman becoming a magistrate judge. Matt has suffered in their solitary confinement and received terrible treatment for 2 weeks for (once again) a crime he did not commit. Matt sent me that press release through email and they accused him of having another prisoner send it to me through regular mail. So when I just called the prison to get the phone number of the Disciplinary Hearing Officer, I was told that they found the email Matt sent me with the press release and that Matt saw this person this morning. He damn sure better be out of their SHU NOW.  What I believe happened is that the person that checks the emails before sending them on to me overlooked the press release and didn’t want to be found guilty of not doing their job of checking emails. I am angry that they have been putting Matt through this interrogation for 2 weeks. I hate the injustice system!! Remember, no letters. Thank you! Ms. H

The following is a message that I am forwarding from Matt Hale’s mother Evelyn.

Friends and Supporters: I sent out a press release and Matt is in solitary confinement: It has been called to my attention that some supporters wrote some high Federal Officials somewhat threatening letters. I am sure the press release reminded you of the horrible injustice that has been done to Matt. I am sure it caused a feeling of anger and disgust against our FBI and Weisman. I am also sure you didn’t mean to cause Matt more suffering but it  has. Please don’t ever do that again! These people have evil thoughts and are just waiting to punish Matt again and again. Thank you! Ms. H
